1) To agree to the vehicle rental terms, the renter and each co-driver must be at least 21 years old, for all categories.
At the time of receiving the vehicle, the customer has the following obligations:
a) Show a valid driver’s license and an international driver’s license if required.
b) Sign the Rental Agreement to accept Go Car ‘s basic rental conditions and any additional insurances.
2) Accepted Credit Cards:
Go Car accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards. American Express and Diners Club are not accepted.
3) Payment:
Payment can be processed by any means other than check.
4) Driver’s License:
Drivers must hold a license valid for at least one year. An International Driving License is required by Greek Law for all non-EU renters or in case the Driving License is not in English. The International Driving Permit is valid in over 150 countries and has information about the driver, as well as a photo of the driver.
5) Additional drivers:
According to Go Car ‘s vehicle rental conditions , the renter’s minimum age and driver’s license requirements also apply to the additional driver. Only one (1) additional driver can be added, at a charge of €4/day.
6) Traffic Violations and Administrative Sanctions:
Summonses and attached administrative penalties resulting from a violation of the Greek Traffic Code, during the rental period, are borne exclusively by the renter. If these administrative sanctions are not disclosed to our company at the end of the rental period (contract) the violation will be charged to the tenant and the Greek Government will request the tenant’s details. The sanction will be sent by post.
7) Fuel Charge:
Gasoline consumption is covered by the renter. The vehicle will be delivered with fuel where the renter is obliged to return it as received. In case he does not return it full, he is obliged to pay the amount that will be imposed by our company.
8) Delivery and Collection:
No charge within a radius of 20 km. from the headquarters of our company in T.D. Ladochorio of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa (37A Agios Apostolon Street), in all the hotels of the city of Igoumenitsa and in the port of Igoumenitsa. Deliveries outside the company’s offices and for distances greater than 20km will be charged according to our company’s price list.
9) Rent without Delivery:
Our company does not provide rentals without delivery. All cars must be returned to our company’s original pick-up location, T.D. Ladochorio of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa (37A Agios Apostolos Street). If you wish to return the vehicle to a different location, you should contact our company.
10) Boarding a ship:
According to the vehicle rental conditions of Go Car , the boarding of our company’s vehicles on ships is prohibited. Anything else is done with authorization from our company.
11) Transfer outside the borders of Greece:
It is forbidden to transport our company’s cars outside the borders of Greece.
12) Child seats:
They are provided upon request at the time of booking, with the corresponding fee.
13) In the event of an accident:
if the collision involves personal injury you must report the accident to the local police in the area where the accident occurred (the police will likely visit the scene of the accident to review reports). The driver must complete and file any accident reports required by local or state authorities. Additionally, the driver is required to complete a company accident report for insurance purposes. This report is made for the safety of both parties and is especially important if there is a disclaimer. Keep in mind that the statements you make may become a permanent part of the accident report. It is important to be honest and accurate as your statements may be used in legal claims.
14) In the event of rental damage:

15) To extend the rental time:
please contact the company at 2665306765 – 6947687711 before the scheduled delivery of the rental. Any changes to the rental return may change the price. Should you wish to extend the rental period please do so in good time to ensure that all other customers will have their rental car available upon arrival. Should that particular vehicle be needed, a replacement vehicle will be arranged to be delivered.
16) Minimum rental period:
the minimum rental period is 48 hours. For a one-day rental, contact our store.
17) The tenant is responsible:
basic insurance coverage. The tenant, in the event that he is involved in an accident and is not responsible for causing it (except for the case of abandonment by the responsible party), is not charged with any amount of money to cover the damage. In the event of an accident and damage to our vehicle where someone else is responsible for the damage and leaves the scene of the incident, the renter of our vehicle is responsible for covering the damage. In case the renter of the vehicle is responsible for causing an accident or any other damage, he is obliged to cover any damage caused to our company’s vehicle.
18) All basic terms cease to apply when:
a) The driver or co-drivers are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc.
b) The vehicle is driven by a person other than the customer or his passenger, who are listed in the rental contract.
c) The vehicle is used on the beach, sea, sandy beach or on an off-road road.
19) The company may not:
to equip its vehicles with a positioning system.
20) After the agreed time for returning the vehicle:
the lessor company is entitled to take over the rental vehicle without the customer’s consent, at any time and in any way.
21) The hired vehicle is prohibited to:
is used for purposes contrary to Greek Legislation, such as for the transport of objects, people or animals for direct or indirect remuneration, for pushing or towing another vehicle, in car races, speed contests, recognition of full or special rally routes, endurance tests and tests maximum possible speed.
22) Any modification:
of the terms of this contract is void unless agreed to in writing.
23) This Rental Agreement is governed by:
by the regulations of the Greek Legislation and is a responsible declaration on behalf of the customer – lessee. Any violation of the regulations of the Greek Legislation on the part of the customer – lessee, during the use of the rental vehicle. It makes him accountable to the Greek Justice, as well as to the leasing company. The customer – lessee, in due course, declares that he has in his possession, use and ownership, movable and immovable property capable of covering all his obligations towards our company.
24) The customer – lessee agrees and accepts that:
all the above conditions are also valid in cases of initial lease or change of the initially leased vehicle.
25) Privacy Policy:
Our company Go Car collects, uses and processes your personal data, for the smoother conduct of the car rental process, to comply with legal obligations, to counter, raise or exercise legal claims. Our company guarantees that it will not transmit, update or grant your personal data to third parties, for any purpose or use, unless such a thing is mandatory by the current legislation, or required by judicial/public bodies.
26) Case of cancellation
In case of cancellation of the reservation up to five (10) days before its start date, the prepaid amount will be refunded. For any cancellation beyond this period the deposit amount will not be refunded.
